These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the BigPlants mobile application ("the app"). By downloading, accessing or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Note for the app owner: Replace the placeholder contact email and add your governing-law jurisdiction before publishing. Consider having these Terms reviewed for your region.
1. Use of the App
BigPlants provides plant identification, an AI care assistant, botanical information and a plant shop. You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
2. Accounts
Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Please provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.
3. Plant Identification & Information Disclaimer
Plant identification and the related botanical information, including care guidance and toxicity notes, are provided for general informational purposes only and may not always be accurate or complete. Do not rely solely on the app for decisions about consumption, medical, safety or pet-related matters. Always consult a qualified professional when in doubt. The app is not a substitute for expert advice.
4. AI Assistant
Responses from the AI care assistant are generated automatically and may contain errors. Use your own judgement and verify important information before acting on it.
5. Purchases and Orders
Where the app offers products for sale, prices, availability and product details may change. Orders are subject to acceptance and applicable terms presented at checkout. Payments are processed by third-party providers, and additional terms may apply.
6. Intellectual Property
The app, including its design, text, graphics, logos and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse-engineer any part of the app except as permitted by law.
7. User Content
You retain ownership of the photos and messages you submit. By submitting content, you grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the app's features (such as identifying plants and generating chat responses). You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you submit.
8. Acceptable Use
- Do not misuse, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the app or its systems.
- Do not upload unlawful, harmful or infringing content.
- Do not use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely accurate.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you breach these Terms or use the app in a harmful manner. You may stop using the app at any time and request account deletion.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.
